island (\u00cele-des-S\u0153urs), Little Burgundy (Petite-Bourgogne), Pointe Saint-Charles, Saint-Henri, Verdun, and Ville-\u00c9mard neighbourhoods.<\/p><p>Affiliated with the University of Montr\u00e9al\u2019s Family Medicine Department, the hospital is home to the third-largest family medicine centre on the Island of Montr\u00e9al and provides outpatient services for day surgeries and day medicine.<\/p><p>The Verdun Hospital is currently undergoing expansion and modernization work to better meet the needs of the Notre-Dame Hospital has been in its current location, on Sherbrooke Street across from Lafontaine Park, since 1924.\n\nIn November 2017, it became a community hospital serving the boroughs of Ville-Marie and Le Plateau-Mont-Royal, which represent 140,000 residents and over 600,000 workers, students, and tourists.\n\nIt offers care for every stage of life\u2014from birth to end-of-life\u2014and treats general illnesses and medical conditions.
