The Fonds d\u2019aide \u00e0 la population is a community assistance fund that offers urgent support to people receiving care in a CIUSSS Centre-Sud establishment This unique program helps cover essential health-care costs that are not covered by other programs.<\/p>

The program is directly operated by the foundation and allows for the release of up to $1,000 in aid in less than 48 hours.<\/p>

We can specifically help with:<\/p>

  • Purchasing medication for someone without insurance.<\/li>
  • Repairing a wheelchair or walker to prevent isolation.<\/li>
  • Supplying incontinence underwear or adapted clothing for people with stomas.<\/li>
  • Providing foot care for people with diabetes to avoid severe complications.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

      Cancer treatments are demanding and require many visits to the hospital. And yet many people do not have a way to get to and from their appointments. For these people, the foundation provides a free, reliable, and caring transportation service.<\/p>

      Operated solely by the foundation, the oncology transportation service provides people without resources safe, caring, and personalized transportation with our driver Mr. M\u00e9barek.<\/p>

      The service, which is so much more than just a transportation, makes a real difference:<\/p>

      • Safe: prevents post-treatment falls and discomfort.<\/li>
      • Personal: a trusting relationship with the same driver, which helps break isolation.<\/li>
