Expansion and Modernization of Verdun Hospital <\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRooted in the community for close to a century, Verdun Hospital is currently being expanded and modernized to better meet the needs of the community. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

While the minist\u00e8re de la Sant\u00e9 et des Services sociaux is financing the expansion work, the hospital is, however, relying on us to purchase more efficient, specialized, versatile, and durable equipment, specifically for the modernization of the old pavilion.<\/p>

Our $2 million goal will notably cover:<\/strong><\/p>

  • An operating table for minor surgeries, allowing more surgeries to be performed on an outpatient basis and therefore alleviating the workload of surgical units.<\/li>
  • Specialized equipment for the gynecology clinic, including an adapted exam table and equipment to perform minor procedures on site, rather than referring patients to another hospital.<\/li>
  • Mobile workstations so staff can consult patient files directly in patient rooms and transport medication and other medical equipment so they have everything within reach.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Renovation and Expansion of the Pediatric Clinic at Notre-Dame Hospital<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    The pediatric clinic at Notre-Dame Hospital was not designed with children in mind. It was built a century ago for adults, without considering the specific needs of families, children, or teenagers. Thanks to the generosity of our community, all this is about to change.<\/p>

    The clinic\u2019s complete renovation project will provide not only a more suitable care environment, but also a completely renovated one.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    The new project will feature:<\/p>

    • A redesigned, colourful, warm, and welcoming waiting room to reassure children and calm parents.<\/li>
    • A room specifically for neurodivergent youth to reduce the anxiety of a visit to the doctor.<\/li>
    • New exam rooms to reduce wait times and offer more privacy.<\/li>
    • A calm and comfortable breastfeeding room for parents.<\/li>
    • A co-working space for the pediatric team to foster collaboration and ensure patient confidentiality.<\/li>
    • Pediatric medical equipment, to offer high-quality care in an environment designed for children.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe project will also contribute to relieving congestion in Montr\u00e9al\u2019s large children\u2019s hospitals by offering a closer alternative for families in the area.
