Despite receiving clear recommendations to ensure his safety, he couldn\u2019t afford two critical pieces of equipment: a raised toilet seat and a shower chair with a backrest.<\/p><p>Isolated, with no support network and ineligible for other funding programs, he could not be discharged until he had the necessary tools. His health condition required proper hygiene, but without a shower chair, home care services from the CLSC could not assist him with bathing.<\/p><p>Thanks to a modest investment of just $130, the Emergency Assistance Fund was able to make a real difference. Within a week, the equipment was delivered and installed in time for his safe return home.
