class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>On June 1st, residents of the Armand-Lavergne long-term care centre proudly took part in the Tour de l\u2019\u00cele de Montr\u00e9al, <a href=\"https:\/\/fondationsanteurbaine.com\/en\/article\/an-innovative-pilot-project-adapted-e-bikes-make-their-debut-at-manoir-de-verdun\/\">thanks to adapted bikes funded by several of our generous donors<\/a>.<\/p><p>Organized for many years by V\u00e9lo Qu\u00e9bec, this was a first for the annual cycling event \u2014 welcoming older adults in adapted bikes.<\/p><p>The adapted bike project was initiated by the recreation team at the CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l\u2019\u00cele-de-Montr\u00e9al, and made possible thanks to the financial support of our donors, including the Fondation Luc Maurice, Desjardins, and the Fondation Cogir.<\/p><p>Thanks to their support, our care homes now have adapted bikes that allow older adults to continue enjoying the pleasure of cycling, even with reduced mobility.<\/p><p>Accompanied by a volunteer cyclist, residents can get out for a ride, enjoy the fresh air, and rediscover their neighbourhoods in a safe and enriching way.
