At 58, living with cancer, he doesn\u2019t believe his story is extraordinary. What truly deserves to be told, he says, is the oncology transportation service offered by the Foundation \u2014 the service he has relied on since his very first treatments. \u201cI\u2019d rather talk about the drivers and the transport itself, because without this service, I don\u2019t know what I would have done. I probably wouldn\u2019t be here,\u201d he admits.<\/p><p>Since his diagnosis, Emmanuel has been off work, with no income. Immunosuppressed and with reduced mobility, he had no safe way to get to his treatments on his own. He and his partner don\u2019t own a car, and public transit was far too risky \u2014 his doctor strongly advised against it.
