That’s why we’ve chosen to support the Verdun Hospital expansion and modernization project by funding elements that enhance the daily care experience: more versatile equipment, cutting-edge clinical technologies, and environments designed for comfort, dignity, and efficiency.

Our involvement also supports the modernization of the existing hospital to ensure coherence and continuity between the old spaces and the new facilities.

In practical terms, our contribution aims to provide care teams with the tools they need to deliver more effective and better-adapted care, while offering every individual an environment that truly meets their needs.

  • 98 connected vital signs monitors
    Capture vital signs and record data in real time in patients’ electronic medical records.
    Result: less paperwork, more time with patients, and faster detection of complications.
  • 23 mobile workstations and 6 medication carts
    These will also allow for the transport of medications and various medical supplies, reducing unnecessary movement and increasing the time spent with patients.
  • Additional fixed computer stations
    Installed in hallways, care units, or treatment rooms to ensure quick and efficient access to documentation.
To diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate under the best possible conditions, with cutting-edge equipment tailored to our reality.
  • Minor surgery table
    Allows procedures to be performed on-site that would otherwise require an operating room. Result: reduced operating room workload and shorter wait times.
  • Gynecological procedure table adapted for people with reduced mobility
    Designed to facilitate safe examinations and procedures without painful or risky transfers.
  • Specialized gynecological equipment: ultrasound machine, cauterizer, irrigation pump, hysteroscope, and aspiration-filter device
    Enables on-site procedures that previously required an operating room or transfer to Notre-Dame Hospital, allowing for faster care with diagnosis and treatment during the same appointment.
  • Ultrasound machine for the ENT clinic
    Used for exploring cervical masses, thyroid follow-up, and ultrasound-guided punctures. Also supports pulmonology and general surgery services.
  • Biometer (ophthalmology B-scan)
    Provides precise measurements for cataract surgeries. Allows diagnoses to be made at Verdun, avoiding external referrals.
  • Electrocautery unit for outpatient ophthalmology, ENT, and plastic surgery clinics
    Enables precise, quick, and minimally painful procedures, often without general anesthesia or the need for an operating room transfer.
  • Volumetric pumps – upgrade (over 50)
    Immediate access to volumetric pumps in care units offers several clinical, organizational, and safety benefits that improve treatment management and care quality. It also allows for rapid response in emergencies and ensures precise, controlled medication and fluid administration, reducing the risk of dosing errors.
  • Rehabilitation equipment in care units
    Pathways, tools, and accessories to promote mobility, activity recovery, and a faster return home.
  • Ceiling-mounted patient lifts
    Facilitate transfers in palliative care, reduce fall risks, and protect staff from musculoskeletal injuries.
  • AccuVein (portable vein finder)
    An infrared imaging device that projects a real-time map of subcutaneous veins to make blood draws and IV insertions easier—particularly for people with difficult veins such as older adults, dehydrated patients, or those undergoing oncology treatments.

  • Communication boards between patients, families, and care teams
    Installed in each room to identify the care team, care objectives, and important reminders — reducing anxiety and promoting autonomy.
  • Chairs for family members
    Provide rest, comfort, and support during extended hospital stays or in critical care situations.
Welcoming, calming, and functional spaces designed with people in mind.
  • Furniture and equipment for the atrium
    A central area transformed into a lively space with seating, rest areas, a catering zone, and information screens.
  • Outdoor spaces between the pavilions
    Benches, greenery, and furniture to encourage rest, walking, and restorative breaks for caregivers and families.
  • Decor and furniture in patient lounges
    Provide visual calm, a sense of privacy, and a warmer environment, especially in palliative care.

Directly aligned with our mission, these tangible investments will enable Verdun Hospital to provide more accessible, safer, and more compassionate care.

Each piece of equipment has been carefully selected to address real needs and to support the work of care teams while enhancing the experience at every stage of the care journey.
