PNearly a quarter of residents living in CHSLDs are unable to take a traditional bath due to physical or cognitive limitations. Until now, these individuals often received sponge baths — a less comfortable and sometimes anxiety-inducing alternative.
Thanks to this innovative, Quebec-made equipment, it will now be possible to offer a complete, safe, and soothing bath directly in bed. This approach promotes comfort, dignity, and tranquility for the most vulnerable individuals, while ensuring the essential hygiene care that is vital to their health.
This generous gift reflects a deep understanding of the needs of CHSLD residents and aligns perfectly with the Fondation Santé Urbaine’s mission: to improve care at every stage of life, from birth to end of life.
By supporting this project, the Cogir Foundation is helping transform a simple hygiene routine into a moment of comfort, dignity, and compassion.
