The Fondation Santé Urbaine will be able to continue its free transportation service for oncology patients at Verdun Hospital thanks to renewed support from a well-known community partner. Woodland Toyota has just donated a brand-new vehicle for this essential program serving people undergoing cancer treatment.

For several years now, this service has enabled the most vulnerable individuals to get to their medical appointments safely and without having to worry about arranging transportation – a very real challenge for many patients who cannot take public transit due to the risk of infection and who are often too weak to drive themselves.

For the Fondation Santé Urbaine, Woodland Toyota’s ongoing support helps ensure a stable and reliable service for the community.

For someone undergoing treatment, getting to appointments can quickly become an added source of stress. Being able to count on free, reliable transportation makes a real difference—not only for patients but also for their loved ones. The arrival of this new vehicle will allow us to continue providing the service under the best possible conditions and to keep meeting the growing needs of people in the region.

As a long-standing partner, Woodland Toyota today reaffirms its commitment to the health and well-being of the local community.

“At Woodland Toyota, we believe that a local business should be actively involved in the community that supports it.” “The Verdun Hospital plays a vital role for many families. Supporting the Fondation Santé Urbaine is therefore a concrete way for us to give back and contribute, in our own small way, to the quality of care provided here in our community.”

Every year, this transportation service helps nearly 600 people get to their medical appointments, reminding us that, beyond medical care, acts of solidarity can play a crucial role in the healing process.
