On October 8, Fondation Santé Urbaine officially launched the public phase of its campaign, Together for the Future of Healthcare in Verdun.
A New Chapter for Verdun Hospital
Verdun Hospital has been undergoing a major transformation over the past several months through its expansion and modernization project, aimed at better meeting the growing needs of the population and providing healthcare environments adapted to the realities of today and tomorrow.
Through its Together for the Future of Healthcare in Verdun campaign, Fondation Santé Urbaine aims to go even further by funding state-of-the-art equipment, innovative solutions and improvements that will make a tangible difference in the experience of patients and the healthcare teams who care for them.
A Community Coming Together for Its Hospital
On October 8, Fondation Santé Urbaine brought together donors and partners to celebrate the launch of the campaign’s public phase.
To help champion the campaign, the Foundation is supported by an honorary committee made up of individuals with strong ties to Verdun and its hospital. Co-chaired by Kathie Cimon, General Manager of Caisse Desjardins de l’Île-des-Sœurs–Verdun, and Liette Monat, a visual artist, the committee brings together dedicated ambassadors who are putting their networks and energy to work for the health of their community.
Thanks to their efforts, along with the generosity and commitment of the campaign’s early donors, $1,336,604 has already been raised toward the $1.5 million goal.
Now, the entire community is invited to join this collective effort.
The Gardes du cœur 50-50 Raffle
A 50-50 raffle has also been launched, giving everyone in the community an opportunity to support the campaign while getting a chance to win half the jackpot!
In addition to the grand prize draw on November 19, 2026, three prizes generously donated by the Verdun community are up for grabs each week. Buy your tickets early for more chances to win!
