This spring, Dr. Marianne Genest, head of psychiatry at Notre-Dame Hospital, and Nathalie Ménard, a mental health social worker, did something rare: they turned a bold dream into a deeply human act. They set out to climb some of the most challenging mountains on the planet to raise funds for mental health projects at Notre-Dame Hospital.
Thanks to your generosity, this campaign raised $14,000 to support people living with mental health challenges in our community.
Why is this project so moving? Because it reminds us of something simple: we don’t always choose the path, but we can choose not to walk it alone.
On May 28, Marianne and Nathalie shared their extraordinary adventure at a conference open to donors and the entire Foundation community.
They told us about the breathtaking scenery, the moments of doubt, the solidarity that developed along the trails, and, above all, what this extraordinary experience taught them – about themselves and about the people they support every day in their work.
It was an inspiring evening, filled with gratitude and emotion, just like the adventure itself.
Thank you!
